They also have fewer options right now. We're celebrating fathers all weekend- help prevent domestic violence before it starts. Stalking, which character Christian Gray, eventually admitted to doing, is classic abusive behavior. Many are from the state of Oaxaca, where many people speak Mixteco, and many do not speak Spanish or English. We rely on community support to offer the breadth of services that we do.
The campaign began after a ruling by the Italian Supreme Court where a rape conviction was overturned because the justices felt that since the victim was wearing tight jeans she must have helped the person who raped her remove her jeans, thereby implying consent.

Avoiding public spaces and working remotely can help to reduce the spread of COVID-19, but for many survivors, staying home may not be the safest option. Stand Strong is working to end domestic violence in San Luis Obispo County through support, education, and advocacy, and we invite you to join the movement.
