You could also just use this time and read really great books together, watch lots of documentaries, or do a research project on something she really loves.

You can just use things like Khan Academy for Math, AllinOneHomeschool.com for things like science and language – it’s up to you! It appears overwhelming, because the books follow the curriculum and give 2-4 pages per lesson of worksheets for kids to complete, but the books aren't meant to replace a full lesson.
