Such great memories and it's a great place to see an artist up close and personal. I made the long journey because this was the ONLY GA standing room venue on the 8 date tour & my only chance to make a dream come true of seeing a U.K. band I love that has not toured in the USA since 1974! The bartender was sweet and helpful. Really cute whale stamp :)I flew from Pittsburgh, PA to Minneapolis to attend the Mott The Hoople concert on April 2, 2019. Going to many venues you learn the quirks of the space. I strongly encourage you to do the same.Tried seeing charli xcx at this venue, got spit on in my face and then was the one who was asked to leave the crowd. Overall, if someone you like is performing at this venue, wait to see them until they are at a better venue like the armory or skywayDidn't actually get to go INSIDE, so take this review with a HUGE grain of salt, as it is basically a review for people that are Prince fans and just want to see his name on the iconic wall. King, to name a few. ... – Turf Club: Property damage. The Suburbs opened the show with a great set. The civil unrest in Minneapolis and St. Paul has left a trail of burned out buildings, smashed windows, and looted stores across the Twin Cities.

Great vibe and really nice bathrooms.

I have not been here since the late 90s for Danceteria, but was happy to go back. It was so fun to hear this around Halloween time. This has always been a fantastic venue to do such. This is by far one of the worst, if not the worst, venue in Minneapolis. 2 min to destination. The acoustics are amazing and they have some great sight lines.

While many places can seem claustrophobic, dirty, and much like a strip club in an episode of The Sopranos, I was worried that I had elevated how fabulous this venue was in my mind.Prices for tickets are cheaper at the smaller Entry, but even the First Avenue is an amazing venue - great staff, awesome bartenders, a fantastic space, a great dance floor, killer sound, and a wide selection of great shows and dance nights.

The staff is always friendly and the shows are great at first ave.Loved this venue. The line wouldn't move for 15 minute increments. Not sure if they had sold too many tickets and didn't have the capacity or what. Not only is the staff extremely aggressive and rude, they are racist. Near the art and business district, our Downtown Minneapolis hotel is centrally located for easy access to the Minneapolis Convention Center, Hennepin Avenue, Nicollet Mall, great restaurants and vibrant nightlife. Very nostalgic if you love Prince! This I could tell was a proper rock club to see this band perform in. The doors opened at 7, show started at 8, he performed at 9. Shout out to Grace for talking to my friend and I about some spooky history with the building!!!! Reserve.
