Why Ontario teachers, who are public servants, use our kids to negotiate their own benefits? How can we expect medical personnel to restore patients’ health if they can’t stay healthy themselves?

It is unfair to the rest of the teachers to strike.

should students be allowed to evaluate their teachers...The first, students feedback their teachers that is means to encourage teachers rises their level.
It is there right to speak out if something is going wrong and they have the right to do so.Just like any other job in America, Teachers should be allowed to strike. Far too often teachers are unnecessarily held hostage by parents, administrators, and students, putting them in a professional straitjacket that impedes their ability to teach.
Low-income students are less likely to have reliable internet and top-notch devices with which to access it. Roughly 400 union members in Burlington are walking the picket lines after contract talks with the school board did not end in a resolution

However, with teachers (and other public servants) there is a caveat. It is unfair that a bunch of malcontents can force their opinions on the rest of us by threatening to strike if we don't give them what they want. Holding the education of children hostage is a low blow. I don’t blame teachers for doubting that they’ll receive all that they need to stay safe. When they went on strike they were given one warning to return to work.

Furthermore I fail to see what their actual goal is here, other than to let everyone know they're still stamping their feet in the background while the rest of us are actually trying to get some work done.

If a teacher is aloud to carry a gun I think students will feel a lot more safer. Holding the education of children hostage is a low blow.

In most cases they are a contest on an even playing field. To protect teachers and students, schools will need even more resources.
