I know that starting a series on book 4 doesn't always work out well. Reads a little like James Bond meets Ivanhoe but Fiests superb characterisation carries the plot off. if your into fantasy all these books are well worth reading.
Let’s be honest: It’s a lot of pressure to pick your book club’s next read. The story is fast paced and comes to a satisfying close.

While this short story can probably stand on it's own, there is so much character build to get the proper impact by reading at least the other Krondor books. During that year Feist had some ideas for a novel about a boy who would be a magician. It took me a few chapters to even get into it, and then it was nearly over. Really, I am. Feist returns to the city of Krondor and one of his most loved characters, Jimmy the Hand.A fantastic new novella from the master of magic and adventure. in Communication Arts with Honors in 1977 from the University of California at San Diego. This is not to say I didn't enjoy Jimmy and the Crawler, this is a good little story with just the right amount of action, mystery and romance and I think Jimmy is an interesting, well formed, vicious character.

This novella return to the city on Krondor and a character in his previous novels Jimmy the Hand.

This is definitely a must like Jimmy the Hand to enjoy this whole set of books. Jimmy The Crawler who was one of the best characters in the series, as a book is extremely disappointing.

A riveting read if a bit pricey for such a short book. So so disappointing after the initial riftwar saga and the empire series :(A very short book, Feist follows Jimmy as he tries to work out who the mysterious crawler is and what his motives are. It wasn't enough to fill the void I have waiting for his next (and last one) in the Riftwar Saga. This was the most tiny book by Raymond E. Feist I've ever read.
