March 5, 2020 PEORIA, Ariz. -- Daniel Vogelbach has the reputation of a fun-loving guy, the big fella with the broad smile and the well-earned distinction of being the best trash talker in the Mariners' clubhouse. "The last couple days, he's been working on a few things with [hitting coaches Jarret DeHart and Hugh Quattlebaum], trying to get the feel back. Vogelbach, who is projected to serve as the Mariners' primary designated hitter, could become an attractive trade piece if he starts the season off well, Greg Johns of MLB.com reports. Tim Lopes will serve as the designated hitter in his absence.Vogelbach, who's been out of the lineup for the Mariners' last two games, is working on some technique issues with the team's hitting coaches, Greg Johns of MLB.com reports.
